Plot[]
Chizuru had to change schools repeatedly when she was a kid and got used to leaving classmates behind. As she did not get close with anyone, it never felt like it made a difference whether she stayed or left. However, when her teacher told her he was sorry that she had to leave on her last day in one of the schools she went to, it made her cry in front of someone else for the first time, as it made her feel that it mattered to someone that she had been there.
In another meeting for the cultural festival preparations, Chizuru is getting into trouble with members of the site management team, Hana and Rinko. The girls present their plans for the teahouse layout to Chizuru, but as the deadline has passed, Chizuru has finished the job herself and expects the team to follow her plan instead. Having spent a lot of time on the assignment, the girls aren't happy when Chizuru refuses to even take a look at their plan.
Just as Hana is about to explode in anger, Arata turns up and agrees to use the girls' plan. His intervention stops the situation from escalating, however he is getting exhausted from picking up after Chizuru's uncompromising way of work. Other girls nearby are criticizing Chizuru's uncooperativeness, and while she looks hurt, she asks them to repeat so she can hear everything and learn from it.
Having reached his limit, Arata takes Chizuru outside the class and tells her that she should accept others' efforts as they are also doing their best. Chizuru is reminded of painful experiences from work where she was criticized despite putting in more effort than others, who did not appear to be doing their best work. Dejected, Chizuru wonders why is it her being criticized when no-one else seems to be doing their work right, as that is why she feels she has to do everything herself.
