Characters[]
- Chizuru Hishiro
- Arata Kaizaki
- An Onoya (Flashback)
Plot[]
On their way back from the last executive committee meeting, Arata asks Chizuru if she made good memories during the project. She answers that she made many of them and explains that while painful memories from the inevitable separations from her classmates made her want to avoid participating in school events, she thinks she may be changing her mind. Chizuru then tells Arata that he helped her realize her mistakes by being the first person ever who remained friendly while telling her she has to learn to rely on others and that thanks to him, she had the chance to experience a shared achievement together with others.
Chizuru thanks and apologizes for thinking Arata would be useless as the project started, and in return he thanks Chizuru and tells her he had fun working with her. Feeling her heart leap, Chizuru remembers how she wanted to keep holding Arata's hand when she was leading her away from the university boys who were harassing her, and thinks of how Arata keeps teaching her about feelings she has never felt before.
Chizuru is reminded of An's theory that the reason she has been interested in whether Arata was a ReLIFE subject like her is that because if it was true, it would mean that the person Chizuru is in love with is not a high school student. Struck with the significance of An's words and wanting to know the truth about her feelings, she asks Arata to touch her, telling him she needs his help to confirm something.
