Plot Edit

An and Chizuru are chatting over beers at Chizuru's place. While An is beaming about Chizuru's revelation and her gloomy feelings for Arata being because she is in love with him and not because he might be a ReLIFE subject, Chizuru herself still is not sure that is the case. However, she tells An she has started to think Arata might be a high school student after all, as she finds Arata very much unlike herself in that she cannot find any serious shortcoming that could have caused him to become a subject. Seeing Chizuru's low opinion of herself, An reminds her not to sell herself short either.

While Chizuru says she cannot be sure she is in love as her feelings are completely new to her, An thinks it is obvious and tries to help her become conscious of it. She suggests various things she tells Chizuru it is normal to think about doing with the person they are in love with, such as kissing. However, An's plan backfires as her suggestions getting more and more physical makes Chizuru uncomfortable, and she says she might not be in love after all.

Ryō and Arata are likewise having drinks at Arata's apartment. Arata reflects on how the executive committee project made him realize that not everyone is going to work together nicely, as students or as adults, and that school presents an opportunity to learn the skills necessary for working with others as a part of society. Ryō then changes the subject, asking if the events during the festival convinced Arata that Chizuru is not in love with Ryō.

Trivia Edit

  • The events of this chapter took place on Friday September 27th, 2013.
  • The title of this chapter contains the first kanji taken from Arata Kaizaki's name "Kai" (, Literally meaning "Sea") and the first kanji taken from Chizuru Hishiro's name "Hi" (, Literally meaning "Sun"). Thus the title could be interpreted with the sun symbolizing Hishiro and the sea symbolizing Kaizaki.
