Plot[]
Ryō an An are in a meeting with the Division Chief, who is impressed with the success of Arata's and Chizuru's experiment to the degree that he is considering making the interaction between two subjects a regular feature of the Kanto branch ReLIFE experiment. While he commends Ryō and An for their success, they do not share his enthusiasm due to their concern about the possibility of Arata and Chizuru having a future together after the experiment. An asks if there isn't a way to stop them forgetting each other, pointing out the crucial role of each of them in the success of the other's experiment.
Ryō and An end up in the Research & Development laboratory discussing the possibility of An's request with Kento. Kento explains that there is no known way to achieve it as no similar situation has occurred before. However, he says that Arata and Chizuru getting to remember each other is what anyone who saw the experiment files would want, and while he does not tell Ryō and An about it, he has actually been tasked by the Division Chief to investigate its possibility.
An suggests that Kento should try researching the solution but Ryō stops her, saying that rather than bothering others they should focus on what is in their power and try to maximise the odds of Arata and Chizuru not forgetting each other by making sure they make as many shared memories as possible. This lifts An's spirits as she has thought the same thing earlier. Kento remains concerned about something, but says that the supports cannot let themselves worry about such a thing if they want to be able to help their subjects.
