Coming (Drop)Out (カミング・ドロップ・アウト, Kamingu.Doroppu.Auto) is the one hundred and sixty-eighth chapter of ReLIFE.
Synopsis
Kazuomi reveals how his brother became a NEET despite being very smart, hard-working and kind, and that he is afraid the same embarrassing fate may await him as well. Arata and Chizuru struggle with the "embarrassing" part.
Characters[]
Plot[]
Arata wonders why is it that Kazuomi does not want to go to Aoba university. Kazuomi tells him and Chizuru that his brother, who had the silver pin just like him, went to Aoba university with a scholarship and got a job but then became a NEET, and he is afraid for his own future if he goes down the same path.
Arata and Chizuru encourage Kazuomi to talk about it more, and are shaken as he says it would be too embarrassing to tell Rena his brother is a NEET. Kazuomi tells them that his mother left with another man when he was in the third grade, also causing his father to become unemployed for a while, and his brother worked to support the family during that time. When Kazuomi started high school and his part time job, his brother became a target of harassment at work leading to him becoming unemployed, which he took very hard and became angry and withdrawn. This made Kazuomi realize that while his brother had always kept a strong and kind front, he was broken inside.
