Plot[]
As Chizuru asks what she should do if she is indeed in love with Arata, An reminds her that Chizuru's own advice to Kazuomi in a similar situation with Rena was to confess his feelings. However, Chizuru thinks it is meaningless as she won't be able to see him anymore when the experiment ends and he will forget her. She despondently continues that she will be happy to just go on as they have been doing as she will be able to stay close to Arata that way, adding that she also does not want to be a bother by asking anything more of him.
An feels a pang as Chizuru tells her she hopes she had met Arata outside the experiment so it would not be impossible for them to have a future together. However, An interrupts her dark track of thought by reminding her that it is only because of the experiment that she met all the new people and learned of all the new emotions that made it possible for her to change. She quesitions if Chizuru can really say it is meaningless if she considers that, but realizes that she should watch out for going too far with her advice.
After An leaves, Chizuru lies in her bed. She recalls always being the only one to remember her friends after changing schools in her youth, however telling herself that pursuing her feelings for Arata any further would be futile brings her no peace of mind. In her report An notes that while Chizuru has several reasons to contain her feelings, the inevitability of having to part ways with Arata once the experiment ends also means now is the only chance she has.
