Plot[]
Kazuomi is about to go and ask Chizuru join Arata, An and himself at their table. However he is quickly stopped by Arata, as he realizes that having Kazuomi ask Chizuru to do that would make it more difficult for her to become friends with Rena. Arata comes up with the excuse that it should not be necessary to bother Chizuru in case he and An can pass the tests soon. An understands Arata's intention and plays along, and writes a message to someone on her phone while Arata explains his reasoning to Kazuomi. While Kazuomi is doubtful about their prospects he accepts, and afterwards Arata wonders why is he concerned with the students' problems.
In the evening Arata messages Chizuru over LIME to ask if she really does not have friends she could have lunch with, and to ask about what she wanted to say in the morning when they were talking about her always being alone. Chizuru suspects Arata of making fun of her, and not having meant his questions that way Arata uses a cat emoji to apologize. She responds with a "love" emoji of the same cat, which Arata finds unsettling, and further tells him that she believes she will be able to become friends with Rena soon. Amazed that Chizuru would believe that to be the case, Arata concludes that she must have completely misread the situation. Nevertheless, wanting to help Chizuru find friends to have lunch with, Arata makes a phone call to someone he knows is also having lunch on their own.
