Weak but Strong (
Synopsis
Despite her talents Honoka is uncomfortable as the gym teachers give her sole credit for the success of the girls' volleyball team. Honoka tells Arata she came to Aoba instead of a sports-oriented high school because of her childhood friends and, with Rena in mind, asks him about An's relationship with Kazuomi.

Plot[]
Mr. Usa chimes into Ms. Amatsu and Honoka's discussion with the remark that the girls' volleyball team is in a tough spot with the captain facing five retests, but is silenced when in response they point out to him that the boys' team is doing badly. Despite that Ms. Amatsu admits that the girls' team's success is largely due to Honoka's abilities, and while both teachers pile pressure on Honoka to pass the retests, Honoka herself is not comfortable taking credit for the success of the entire team.
Having left the staff room, Arata and Honoka talk about the retests. Honoka tells Arata she was accepted into Aoba on a sports recommendation but studying is not her strong suit, and Arata wonders why she did not go to a sports-oriented high school where she could have had an easier time with her studies. Arata's question reminds Honoka of something unpleasant, but after a brief pause she tells him she is there because of her childhood friends Akira Inukai and Nobunaga Asaji.
As Arata mentions that he heard about Honoka's friends from Rena and Kazuomi, Honoka tells him Rena is the reason she is really enjoying being in the volleyball club. She then asks Arata if he knows if An is in love with Kazuomi, and Arata responds that he is quite sure that isn't the case.
