Plot[]
Honoka gets up from the floor amid the commotion caused by her fall and tells everyone she is fine, however she is interrupted by a loud noise. Rena has also fallen down on the floor, and has to be taken to the infirmary. Having investigated Rena's condition, Ms. Inukai tells her and Honoka and Ms. Amatsu who have accompanied Rena to the infirmary that she landed a jump on one of the balls rolling on the court because of Honoka's fall and sprained her ankle. She tells Rena to go to a hospital just to be sure, but estimates that the injury will take between two and three weeks to heal.
Ms. Amatsu worries about how Rena's injury will impact her participation in the volleyball tournament but is quickly silenced by Ms. Inukai. They go out into the hallway to talk, and Ms. Inukai berates Ms. Amatsu for bringing the tournament up in front of Honoka and Rena. Ms. Amatsu apologizes for her carelessness, however Ms. Inukai tells her she is at fault as she was aware of Honoka's sleep deprived state and knew that she had been studying every evening leading up to the retests at her home tutored by her little brother Akira, but did not do anything about it. As Ms. Inukai is about to go and arrange a way for Rena to get home, noting the strained atmosphere between Rena and Honoka Ms. Amatsu worries about the girls, but despite sharing her worry Ms. Inukai does not think it is something they should get involved in.
