Plot[]

While he is sleeping at Arata's place after they took the pills to return to their adult forms, Ryō sees a dream of when he had to tell his previous subject that their ReLIFE was a failure and that they would not be receiving a job recommendation for a company. In the dream he hears his superiors putting the blame of the failure on him, and apologizes to the subject for not being able to support them properly.

After a difficult wake-up exactly like Ryō said before taking the pill, Ryō and Arata suit up and get on their way to the graveyard. On the train Ryō notes that it is exactly four months since he first introduced himself to Arata. Ryō catches Arata looking like he is feeling down as he realizes that a third of his ReLIFE has already passed and calls him out on it, however Arata denies it and sticks to his previous statement that he only cares about the job recommendation part of the contract. Ryō then receives a message from An, reporting her progress on the task Ryō requested of her when they talked about the grave visit at the office.

At Michiru's grave Ryō wonders about Arata's long silence. Annoyed by the interruption, Arata tells him to be quiet and that he is having a conversation with Michiru. After he regains his concentration Arata recalls Michiru having been in charge of training newcomers as well as being the best-performing saleswoman in the company. While Arata found the constant overtime and heavy, strained atmosphere at the company exhausting, Michiru always appeared strong and kind. When Arata found out about Michiru getting harassed he wanted to return the support she had given him, however she always stayed strong and kept telling Arata she was fine. While Arata got the impression she was the strongest person he ever met, his illusion was shattered as he discovered her having committed suicide by hanging herself in a storage room at the company.
